সত্যজিৎ রায়, বাংলার কিংবদন্তি  আজ যার সম্পর্ক বলতে চলেছি সে আর কেউ নয় একজন অতি স্মরণীয় মানুষ যার কথা বললে অনেক কম বলা হবে। তিনি সত্যজিৎ রায়, এযুগের পরম বিস্ময়। তিনি বাংলা সাহিত্য ও চলচ্চিত্র জগতের প্রবাদ পুরুষ। বাংলা চলচ্চিত্রের বিপুল সম্ভাবনার দ্বার যেমন তিনি খুলে দিয়েছেন তেমনি বাংলা সাহিত্যকে সমৃদ্ধ করেছেন। জন্ম ও বংশ পরিচয় উত্তর কলকাতার বিখ্যাত রায়চৌধুরী পরিবারের 1921 সালের 2মে রবিবার সত্যজিৎ রায়ের জন্ম হয়। পিতামহ উপেন্দ্রকিশোর রায়চৌধুরী এবং পিতার সুকুমার রায় ছিলেন বাংলা সাহিত্যের অমর স্রষ্টা। সুকুমার রায় ও সুপ্রভাত এর একমাত্র সন্তান সত্যজিৎ রায়ের ছোটবেলার নাম ছিল প্রসাদ। পাঁচ বছর বয়সেই তার পিতা মারা যান। তারপর তার মা তাকে নিয়ে দক্ষিণ কলকাতার বকুল বাগান রোড ভাই পি কে দাস এর বাড়ি চলে আসে। সত্যজিতের ডাকনাম ছিল মানিক। সত্যজিৎ রায় শিক্ষাজীবন 1928 সালে মায়ের সঙ্গে শান্তিনিকেতনের গিয়ে প্রথম রবীন্দ্রনাথকে দেখেন সত্যজিৎ রায়। রবীন্দ্রনাথ তাকে ' বহুদিন ধরে বহু ক্রোশ দূরে ' কবিতা টি লিখে উপহার দিয়েছিলেন।  1930 সালে সত্যজিৎ রায় বালিগঞ্জ গভমেন্ট স্কুলে ভর্তি হন...
